The Underground Museum

The Underground Museum is a Black-owned contemporary art museum and community cultural space in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Founded by the late artist Noah Davis in 2012, the Underground Museum brings museum-quality contemporary art — including exhibitions on loan from the Museum of Contemporary Art — to a historically underserved South Los Angeles community. The museum stands as a living testament to Davis's vision: that transformative art belongs in the neighborhoods that create culture.
